Most of the rescue stories are about a huge assortment of wild animals, both in the US and other parts of the globe, but there are even some domestic rescue stories. It is a collaboration of different stories by "Nature's Healthcare Providers".
The book reveals how these "Guardians of Nature" are altruistic heroes, brings to light the spiritual reason we are in this work, that it is rewarding, but goes into detail how difficult and dangerous it can be. There is also a lot of humor in the book, short stories, poetry, great pictures, meaningful quotes, and important things to read (and reread) to keep our spirits up while we do this wonderful and wacky wildlife work.
